Yule Blessing Ornament

Yule also known as Winter Solstice occurs on December 21st. We celebrate the return of light after the longest night of the year. This is often known as the Witch’s New Year as well. It is one of the 8 Sabbats observed by many religions and spiritualities. There are soooo many different ways to celebrate it! This year my family made Yule Logs and Yule Blessing Ornaments.

The Yule Blessing Ornaments we tried for the first time this year. We used salts, crystals, and herbs to set out intentions for the ornaments. I wrote “consistency” on a bay leaf and tied it around a cinnamon stick as my word for the New Year. Below is a list of supplies if you’d like to try!

Glass Ornaments

Herbs

Crystals

The Yule logs we have been making for several years now. We usually then burn it sometime in the new year. You can incorporate magick by setting intentions for the new year while you decorate it! This year we used Birch logs and they turned out beautiful.
